1P-LSD – Explained

1P-LSD (scientific name: – 1-Propionyl-d-lysergic acid diethylamide) is a semi-synthetic psychedelic which is closely related to LSD. Both of them have near-identical effects on the body but 1P-LSD is just safer because of the fact that it is less potent compared to LSD, research shows that 1P-LSD has only 38% prowess of LSD when it comes to potency and its effects. 1plsd is a comparatively new drug and there is no prior research done on it, all the research that has been established is done in the recent years and shows how closely it is linked to the LSD and has near-identical effects. The much-established research also shows how LSD affects the serotonin receptors of our brains and in turn, makes our brain release more serotonin which results in patients feeling happy. This is why it is strongly being tested for being used in anti-depressants, but the high dosage can easily turn out to be harmful so the compound product of 1P-LSD and some other chemicals is ideal.

The way it works is it affects our serotonin receptors in the brain resulting in common side effects (referred to as acid trip) like loss of appetite, geometric visual hallucinations, numbing of senses, hormonal imbalance for a short period of time, and time distortion. It has similar pharmacological properties like metabolism, toxicity, and Ph levels to LSD. There is no concrete evidence where these things have been proven but research done on this drug has shown near-identical results we see with LSD. It does have less potency compared to LSD and a study done on mice shows only 38% of effects compared to LSD.

1P-LSD is from the lysergamide family and is named for the propionyl group bound to the nitrogen of the polycyclic indole group of LSD. It acts as a prodrug for LSD since LSD is detected when 1P-LSD is entered into the human bloodstream (other species have shown similar results)  , resulting from the fact that on its own 1P-LSD is not able to bind itself to serotonergic receptors. Few studies have also shown that this drug may be able to result in unique psychedelic effects produced by itself without any other property. Comparing it to other psychedelics like LSA, ayahuasca, and psilocybin we see a significant increase in simulation and cognitive effects like geometric visual hallucinations, numbing of senses, and time distortion. But it has almost identical effects to that of LSD; we are unable to distinguish between these two except for its potency rate. Other effects include spontaneous bodily sensations like physical euphoria, tactile enhancements, and stamina enhancements. Using this chemical as base product researchers are trying to make a more stable drug that can be used to be used as an enhancement drug.

Toxicity and long term effects on human bodies are hard to figure out since most of the research done previously was lack important variables and there has not been enough time to test out properly if it causes any serious side effects in the long run which is why the drug has not received an FDA approval and hence remains to be tested in private and government sectors who have the authority to do clinical trials on narcotics like these. The research done so far shows no major side-effects if the said chemical is being used in moderation or if being “microdosed”. The test did show excellent results and we can see that the level of toxicity for the drug is relatively low which means it is safer to use compared to other famous psychedelics in general.

Microdosing is another way of delivering the said 1P-LSD in small amounts that show only cellular effects of the given drug on the body. Microdosing is usually done in amounts like 10-15 micrograms and if the patient is being introduced to this drug the amount should be relatively low unless being provided over a longer time gap. The recommended time gap by many experts for that specific amount is 3 days and they claim that Microdosing 1P-LSD in small amounts like 10-15 micrograms over a time gap of 3 days is probably the most ideal situation to test out its effects on our body.

Many problems can occur if you abuse this drug and use it without any precautions, like any other chemical it is harmful to our body if not regulated properly and overuse of this drug no matter how small the dosage is would be considered as abuse and should be avoided at all costs. It is preferable that you consult an expert (like lizard labs) before trying these on your own.

1P-LSD has no known toxic dose which shows just how safe this psychedelic is compared to all the other ones and which is why it is being rigorously tested. But higher doses do show the risk of psychological reactions and permanent brain alterations. Overdosing can easily result in problems like anxiety, delusions, panic attacks, and seizures. These effects occur at really high doses and even if the amount is moderately high compared to normal recommended dosage there is no permanent damage or any negative effects. If the said chemical is taken more than the recommended amount 9 times out of 10 you should take immediate medical attention but if the amount is not that high then you can probably just let the phase pass through and you will feel better again.

Users have reported similar effects to that of LSD but with less potency almost as low as 38%. But the effects are near-identical to that of LSD like analysis enhancements, Anxiety & Paranoia, delusion, increased senses (sometimes numbing of bodily senses depending on the quantity taken), and bodily control enhancements. The effects it results in making it a great base component in driving a more profound chemical product that can be used as enhancement drug for cognitive functions with minimal effects, but no research has been done as of now. When used with other things like alcohol, Dissociative and MDMA result in different experiences and are unique in the quantity of each with a whole nother level of side effects.
