Other young women are « visited » and the neighbourhood is in a turmoil. The young girls become coquettish a nd the localshop-owners take advantage of the situation. There are jealousies and the tension mounts... Ghosts, hallucinations or reality, the visitor is particularly interested in old maids.... Would that be the centre of the plot?
